Not content with forging their own world-conquering solo careers, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty came together in 1988 to form one of rock and pop's most untouchable supergroups: the Traveling Wilburys. Released in October of that year, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 was the first document of their combined superpowers. The band's second (and final) album, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3, arrived in October 1990 following the death of member Roy Orbison and went to number 14 in the UK and 11 in the US, respectively, also earning platinum status by the RIAA. Bluegrass-tinged riot "Poor House" is the sixth track on the album and captures the rootsy aesthetic of the Traveling Wilburys, showing off each member's individual talents, including George Harrison’s classic wailing guitar. On a wider scale, the Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3 turned into an album about loss and grief.
