Toby Keith sings songs like he’s propping up the bar at a honky tonk joint with a broken heart. On his fourteenth studio album, 2010's Bullets in the Gun – which gave him a US Billboard 200 chart-topper and a number spot LP on the Top Country albums chart – he sang about neighbours living in a trailer park ("Trailerhood"), break-ups ("In A Couple of Days") and even managed to pack in a cover of "Sundown" by Canadian folk singer Gordon Lightfoot, all the while letting his Oklahoma twang glide over banjo plucks, guitar and assorted country instrumentation. The track was featured as the finale of Bullets in the Gun and sees Toby Keith nodding to the melody of his 2005 single “As Good as I Once Was,” as he sings "Get out of your clothes or get out of my car / Whichever you choose, I’m ready to go."
