"Get Ready" by The Temptations is a Motown classic written by Smokey Robinson. Released in February 1966, the song became a significant hit for the group, reaching number 1 on the US Billboard R&B singles chart and peaking at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track is characterized by its upbeat tempo and catchy lyrics, capturing the essence of 1960s Motown sound. The lyrics are a romantic pursuit, where the singer expresses his determination to win over his love interest, encouraging her to "get ready" for his affection. "Get Ready" features energetic drumming by Benny Benjamin, a staple of the Motown rhythm section, and a vibrant horn section that drives the song's lively feel. Despite its initial success on the R&B charts, the song's performance on the pop charts was seen as a disappointment by Motown's Berry Gordy, leading to Norman Whitfield taking over production duties for the group. This change ushered in a new era for The Temptations, marked by the release of subsequent hits like "Ain't Too Proud to Beg".

This rendition would have been excellent but the bass voice mimic in the beginning brings it down. -
