"If It Hadn't Been for Love" was released on The Steeldrivers' self-titled 2008 debut album. This haunting bluesy lament is carried by the sheer power of Chris Stapleton's voice which helped pave the way for a number 57 position on the US Billboard Top Country Albums chart. LP track "Blue Side of the Mountain" also earned the bluegrass group a Grammy nomination in 2009 for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
