The Overtones are a UK harmony vocal group, first making a splash onto the music world with their 2010 debut album Good Ol’ Fashioned Love. Over the course of the following years, they released a number of themed albums, including 2015’s Good Ol’ Fashioned Christmas. As the name implies, Good Ol’ Fashioned Christmas is a collection of Christmas songs sung by the quartet, including family favorites such as “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” This famous Christmas carol was first written by J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie, dating all the way back to the 1930s. It has since been performed by everyone from Frank Sinatra to The Andrews Sisters to Michael Bublé, effectively becoming a standard of the holiday season. On Good Ol’ Fashioned Christmas, The Overtones put their own spin on the holiday classic. Like the rest of the album, “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” was produced by frequent Overtones collaborators Graham Archer and Julian Hinton. The album peaked at Number 24 on the UK Albums chart.
