Internet comedy trailblazers The Lonely Island aka Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone started out posting offbeat sketches online before scoring a breakthrough gig for Saturday Night Live in 2005, with all three comedians hired as writers for the hit American late-night show. After landing their own program division — SNL Digital Shorts — the trio began cooking up a banquet of silly viral musical sketches from "Motherlover" and "Jizz in My Pants", to "Like a Boss" and "I Just Had Sex" that took their careers to new heights of fame. In 2009, they roped in none other than Justin Timberlake for R&B parody, the smooth-talking holiday song "Dick in a Box." In the video, fictional '90s R&B artists Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake sing about giving their girlfriends a very special gift for Christmas and "Dick in a Box" became the gift that keeps on giving, with the song winning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics in 2007.
