Once upon a time Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi spun a magical, tender-hearted duet for the 2010 Tangled soundtrack that tells the love story of Rapunzel and Eugene through a misty-eyed folky pop lens. Written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater, "I See the Light" is a highlight of Tangled, (2010) Walt Disney Animation Studios' 50th animated feature film. "All those days watching from the windows / All those years outside looking in / All that time never even knowing / Just how blind I've been / Now I'm here blinking in the starlight / Now I'm here suddenly I see / Standing here it's all so clear / I'm where I'm meant to be," sings Rapunzel, letting her hair down and her crystal voice flow through a track that takes pride of place as the Tangled love theme. The song, which was originally titled "You Are My Forever," was nominated for best song at the 83rd academy awards.

Singer should just sing the melody; lose the emo whispering stuff.
