Even though American singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder has been amassing an impressive repertoire of hit songs since his recording debut at the age of 11, the R&B ballad "I Just Called to Say I Love You" is widely considered his most commercially successful single, reaching Number 1 on the US charts and in over a dozen countries throughout the world. Very much in line with the rest of his 1980s output, the song was produced, written, and solely recorded by Stevie Wonder, who used a handful of synthesizers and a drum machine to lay down the instrumental. Its simple yet endearing lyrics describe a man calling his partner with no other motive than just expressing his love. It was released on August 1, 1984, as the lead single from the soundtrack album of the romantic comedy Woman in Red and quickly hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Contemporary, and R&B charts. Shortly after its release, "I Just Called to Say I Love You" won both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award in the category of Best Original Song.

I don't really like this. I didn't want to sing to it .... it does not sound like the original... sounds should be good quality and if you are going to use synths, you could use some that have good tones that don't irritate the ear. Thank you for your website, I like a lot of the music here.
