"My Plague" is a song by American heavy metal band Slipknot, released as the second single from their 2001 second studio LP, Iowa, on July 8, 2002. Written and produced by Slipknot alongside Ross Robinson, best known for his work with groups like Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Sepultura, "My Plague" was instantly hailed by critics as one of the most accessible tracks on the album. Musically, the song goes back and forth between Slipknot's trademark sonic assault and a more melodic approach with the use of cleaner vocals during the chorus. The single version is a remix by Terry Date commonly known as "New Abuse mix," included in the soundtrack of the film Resident Evil. Upon its release, "My Plague" reached number 43 on the Official UK Singles Chart and number 41 on the Scottish charts. It also received a nomination for Best Metal Performance at the 45th Annual Grammy Awards, which ended up going to Korn's "Here to Stay."
