This ultra-smooth quiet storm-led stunner from US R&B and funk band legends Con Funk Shun couldn't be more suited to Silk Sonic's retro-pop project, with the pair pouring heart and soul into their earth-shaking version of the tune, especially for Valentine's Day. "Love's Train", which tells of a tangled love triangle involving Con Funk Shun's Michael Cooper and Felton C. Pilate II, was originally featured on the group's tenth studio album To the Max, released in 1982. Silk Sonic issued their silky update as a standalone single – following the release of their acclaimed 2021 album An Evening With Silk Sonic – and went to Number 47 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with the track in 2022.
