Singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles loved writing songs for the Broadway musical Waitress but admits handing them over for someone else to sing wasn’t easy. Bareilles is best known for her singing, piano playing, and hit songs including “King of Anything” and “Love Song.” Writing for someone else was new but proved very successful as she added a Tony nomination to her Grammy nominations. The talented artist found a solution in recording her own versions of songs from the musical for her fifth album What’s Inside: Songs from Waitress. “She Used to Be Mine” is the lead single from that album and was also the first song she wrote for the musical.  The backing track for “She Used to Be Mine” is available with background vocals or as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.
