"Wonderful World" is a track originally recorded and popularized by American soul singer-songwriter Sam Cooke. It was written by Lou Adler, Herb Alpert, and Sam Cooke, who was credited under the pseudonym Barbara Campbell. Featuring elements from early rhythm and blues and soul music, "Wonderful World" uses the subject of education to pose the idea that theoretical knowledge is as important as understanding human emotions. Upon its release on April 14, 1960, the song reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 2 on the R&B charts. The track was later included in the compilation The Wonderful World of Sam Cooke in October of that year. Recorded during Cooke's last session with Keen before his move to RCA Victor, "Wonderful World" was later covered by artists like Herman's Hermits, Otis Redding, and Art Garfunkel. It also experienced a surge in popularity after being featured in the 1978 comedy Animal House and the 1985 neo-noir thriller Witness.

One of the classics no one thinks of, but slaps their forehead when you mention. And done very well in the original background- easy to follow.
