It is also one of the few songs off Medicine Jar not written by Paul McCartney; it features music written by Jimmy McCulloch and Colin Allen, with lyrics by Jimmy McCulloch. It’s an anti-drug song, inspired by the frustration of seeing so many of his friends succumb to drug addiction. It was first written for Jimmy McCulloch’s former band Stone The Crows, but they broke up before it was released. Like the rest of Venus and Mars, the song was produced by Paul McCartney.
