Written with songwriters Wade Bowen, Brad Warren and Brett Warren, the track takes its cues from traditional country to explore a broken relationship and was featured on Parker McCollum's 2023 album Never Enough. The Texan singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist released his debut album The Limestone Kid in 2015 before scoring his breakthrough with 2021's Gold Chain Cowboy, which went to number 60 in the US. For Never Enough, he worked with the likes of Jon Randall (Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley) and with co-writers also including Randy Rogers, Brett James, Ryan Beavers, Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna, Liz Rose, and Ashley Gorley. The LP finished up at number 56 on the US Billboard 200.
