Paramore flexed their songwriting muscle on the third album Brand New Eyes; a collection of volcanic emotional ballads and headbangers that went to number two in the US and won Best Album at the Kerrang! Awards 2010. Harnessing the angst-ridden energy of their previous efforts, the Hayley Williams-fronted emo heroes tear through 11 candid songs from fast-faced emo–pop–punk opener "Careful" and "The Only Exception"—which received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals—to "All I Wanted," which sees out the album with an explosive bang. The pared-back song takes the form of a love letter to Hayley Williams's then-boyfriend Chad Guilbert, who was heading out on tour with his band New Found Glory. "Think of me when you're out, when you're out there," she sings. Despite its 2009 release, Paramore fans would have to wait a whole thirteen years to hear the song live.
