Pulling out all the emotional stops, the band's stripped-back single "Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)" finds the Californian nu-metal titans at their most poignant and vulnerable. Released as a single in collaboration with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (for the Talk Away the Dark campaign), "Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)" explores the heavy-hearted topic of suicide and has previously been dedicated to late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, who died of suicide in 2017. The track appeared on Papa Roach's eleventh studio album Ego Trip (2022) and dented the upper reaches of the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2023 as well as peaking at number two on the Czech Republic Rock chart.
