If sixth album Pray for the Wicked is anything to go by, Panic! At the Disco have come a long way from the days of 2005 debut, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, and the eyeliner-clad emo thrashiness of 2006 breakout single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." Now a solo project helmed by Brendon Urie, the band shed its former members in 2015 and Death of a Bachelor emerged the following year. "High Hopes" is taken from Brendon Urie's second solo effort as Panic! At the Disco, Pray for the Wicked, which was released in 2018 and seized the top spot on the US Billboard 200. Brendon Urie began writing "High Hopes" – which offers reflections on failure, hope and ambition – a month before making his Broadway debut in Cyndi Lauper's musical Kinky Boots. He went to Number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 with the track, which became the band's highest-charting song on the chart, outstripping "I Write Sins Not Tragedies.”

Your vocalist is better than the auto-tuned Panic At The Disco singer. Thank you thank you thank you for making this recording available. I have to play this song for my band, and I hate the original version with a passion.

My kids love this song and I've been looking for it for a while. I found it on another site and it sounded just HORRID! What a great surprise they're going to have at our 4th of July Karaoke party this afternoon when I surprise them with this!

All of your karaoke files tend to be rushed; the lyrics run through the screen faster than the tempo they are set for. But overall, it's a good file with a great instrumental sound and great resolution.
