Ozzy Osbourne took a swipe at disgraced former televangelist Jimmy Swaggart on his 1988 song "Miracle Man," which saw the "Prince of Darkness" get the last laugh after he had been hounded by Jimmy Swaggart's supposed moral crusading. "I'm looking for a miracle man / That tells me no lies / I'm looking for a miracle man / Who's not in disguise," he sings, mocking the preacher, before adding: "I don't know where he'll come from / And I don't know where he's been / But he's not our Jimmy Sinner / Because he's so obscene." "Miracle Man" showed Ozzy Osbourne at the peak of his songwriting powers, with the rock icon using acid-tongued lyrics, haunting belly-laughs, and demonic hard rock to hammer home his message. "Miracle Man" was featured on Ozzy Osbourne's fifth studio album No Rest for the Wicked, which was released in September 1988 and went to number 13 on the Billboard 200. while also being certified gold in December 1988.
