Neil Diamond made his acting debut starring alongside Sir Laurence Olivier and Lucie Arnaz in the controversial 1980 American musical drama film The Jazz Singer and this tear-streaked and strings-dipped ballad "Hello Again" was featured on the movie soundtrack.
