"Don't remember where I was / I realized life was a game / The more seriously I took things / The harder the rules became / I had no idea what it'd cost / My life passed before my eyes / I found out how little I accomplished / All my plans, denied," sings Megadeth's Dave Mustaine over a sparse grungey-rock backdrop on one of the band's more controversial songs. "A Tout le Monde" set tongues wagging for its potentially pro-suicide chorus ("À tout le monde, à tous mes amis / Je vous aime, Je dois partir," which translates into English as; "to the whole world, to all my friends, I love you, I have to go." Whatever you think of the song, which features a seriously smashing guitar solo, it was featured on the LA rockers 1994 studio album Youthanasia, which hit Number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, and was certified platinum in the US. "A Tout le Monde" was unleashed as a single in February 1995 via Capitol Records and in 2007, given a new lease of life after it was re-created for Megadeth's 2007 album United Abominations, sung as a duet between Dave Mustaine and Cristina Scabbia of metallers Lacuna Coil.
