"You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth" was Meatloaf's first solo single from Bat Out of Hell. The rock singer, born Marvin Lee Aday, had acted in several musicals where he met songwriter Jim Steinman. Meatloaf asked Steinman, who was used to writing theatrical compositions, to try writing a shorter pop song. He came up with "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth." While the song may be shorter, the stage drama influences remained. The song was ideally suited for the expressive singer and his larger-than-life voice. Meatloaf sings about a hot night of love on the beach. "It was a hot summer night / And the beach was burning / There was fog crawling over the sand."
The backing track for "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth" is available with background vocals or as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.

I like it , would have liked it more if it ended with the harmonies without that cheesy ending
