Louane's varied and successful career almost belies her young age. Born Anne Peichert on 26 November 1996, she first gained national prominence as semi-finalist in the 2013 season of The Voice: la plus belle voix in France with Louis Bertignac as a coach and went on to release music for a videogame franchise (Pokémon 25: The Album in 2021), contribute to a track by The Chainsmokers, as well as top the French album charts. Serving up a stripped-back piano melody and layers of honesty, "Secret" is the sound of a confident artist baring her soul. Everything comes to the surface in the stirring chorus: "Je vais te confier mon plus gros secret / J'ai toujours eu un peu d'mal à m'aimer" ("I'm going to confide my biggest secret to you / I've always had a little trouble loving myself"), she admits. "Secret" is the opening track on the Hénin-Beaumont-born artist's 2022 album Sentiments, which was written and composed by Louane and explores the concept of feelings.
