"Tequila Sundown" is a song by country artist Jon Wolfe from his album Dos Corazones. After a day of fishing, Wolfe is ready for relaxation and libations in this Jimmy Buffet-style romp. "It's a tequila sundown / In an old Baja beach town / No problemos for miles around / Just me and mis amigos I found." The song is the ultimate party track, complete with mariachi band stylings and a sing-along chorus. Wolfe hadn't set out to be a professional singer but was inspired to give it a try after attending an Alabama concert. A friend invited him on their tour bus where he got to sing with some of the band members. Wolfe began playing the Texas club circuit where he opened for George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, and Merle Haggard. He self released albums and soon signed to Warner Brothers.
