After reaching Number 1 on the UK charts with his debut album Undiscovered (2006), British blue-eyed soul singer James Morrison made a comeback in 2008 with his second full-length Songs For You, Truths For Me. The album hit Number 3 in Britain and spawned the Top 10 singles "You Make It Real" and "Broken Strings" with Nelly Furtado, proving to be a more than worthy successor to his critically-acclaimed studio debut. Despite not being released as a proper single, the track "Precious Love" quickly became a favorite among the singer's fanbase. Written by Morrison and American composer John Shanks, known for his previous work with Westlife, Take That, and Sheryl Crow, the track's lyrics describe an aimless man who is brought back to life thanks to a loving relationship.
