Happy Days Are Here Again / Get Happy - Glee - MP3 instrumental karaoke

Through the course of its six seasons, the Fox network musical television series Glee had a hand in reviving interest in a number of older songs through its frequent musical numbers. A great example of this is the medley “Happy Days Are Here Again / Get Happy,” performed by actors Chris Colfer (playing the role of Kurt) and Lea Michele (playing the role of Rachel). The performance took place in the second season episode Duets and combines two songs: “Get Happy,” the Judy Garland song from the 1950 film Summer Stock; and “Happy Days Are Here Again,” a standard most famously performed by Barbra Streisand in 1962. Of course, the pairing of those two songs didn’t originate with Glee; in fact, this performance mimics a famous 1963 duet between Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland from an episode of The Judy Garland Show. The Glee version of “Happy Days Are Here Again / Get Happy” also appears on Glee: The 3D Concert Movie and its accompanying soundtrack album.
