"I See Red" is a single by Texas-based, husband-and-wife duo Everybody Loves an Outlaw. Originally released in their 2018 debut EP, the song rose to prominence after being included in the soundtrack of the 2020 Netflix erotic feature film 365 Days. Built around a sample of Cher's "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)," "I See Red" is a slow-burning blues-rock number about revenge and infidelity. Written by married couple Bonnie and Taylor Sims and produced by Robbie Nevil, "I See Red" tells the story of a woman fantasizing about murdering her significant other after finding out he's been cheating on her. It didn't take long before the track went viral on social media, turning Everybody Loves an Outlaw into online celebrities overnight. The success of "I See Red," which quickly accumulated millions of plays on streaming platforms, also helped the Sims land a recording contract with Columbia Records in 2020.
