“Old Love (Unplugged)” is a song by Eric Clapton from the MTV Unplugged series. The song is about his breakup with his wife of nine years, Pattie Boyd. “I can feel your body / When I'm lying in my bed / Too much confusion / Going 'round through my head.” This is far from the first song inspired by Boyd. Clapton had fallen in love with the beautiful model while she was married to George Harrison who had written “Something” about her. While Clapton was trying to figure out how he was going to steal his friend’s wife away, he wrote “Layla” about the situation. Once they got together, Clapton again wrote another hit about her, “Wonderful Tonight.” Even with all that drama, Clapton and Harrison remained friends and collaborated on several music projects together.
