After finally hitting the big screen in June 2022, Elvis – Baz Luhrmann's talked-about biographical musical drama film that follows the life of Elvis Presley (played by Austin Butler) through the eyes of his manager, Colonel Tom Parker (played by Tom Hanks) – came complete with a showstopping soundtrack. Showcasing Austin Butler's vocal prowess, as well as seeing Elvis's own vocals make an appearance, the soundtrack was split across 36 star-studded tracks and featured new renditions of Elvis songs from a host of contemporary popstars including Doja Cat, Eminem, Diplo, Stevie Nicks, Jack White, Swae Lee and more. Originally written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, and first performed by Elvis Presley in 1958, "Trouble" – which incorporates a Muddy Waters' riff from 1954 song "Hoochie Coochie Man" written by Willie Dixon – was brought to life by Austin Butler in the movie and released in June 2022 as one of the singles from the soundtrack.
