Justin Bieber joined forces with Florida singer and songwriter Dominic Fike for this smoky, 1980s pop-spattered gem. On "Die for You," which was featured on Justin Bieber's sixth studio album Justice (2021), the Canadian superstar pledges his undying love for an unnamed subject, going so far as to engage in life-threatening acts and other lengths to prove his commitment. "I would walk through burning fire / Even if your kiss could kill me / You know I would die for you / Yeah, I would die for you," he sings. Justin Bieber later clarified that "Die for You" was in fact partly inspired by politics, using love as a metaphor, and taking a line from a Dr. Martin Luther King quote; "If you have never found something so dear and so precious to you that you will die for it, then you aren't fit to live," which comes from a speech delivered by the late great legendary activist in Atlanta on November 5, 1967.
