Originally written and sung by Huey "Piano" Smith and His Clowns, rock 'n' roll racer "Sea Cruise" was included on the 1971 Ace Records compilation Huey "Piano" Smith's Rock & Roll Revival! and covered by Dion DiMucci (also known mononymously as Dion and who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989) in 1990 for action-comedy mystery caper The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, which also featured music from Bobby Darin, Billy Idol, Teddy Pendergrass and Lisa Fischer (as Lisa Fisher) and Mötley Crüe. The song is pulled along by a driving rhythm and rock 'n' roll-themed lyrics ("Old man rhythm is in my shoes / No use t'sittin' and a'singin' the blues / So be my guest, you got nothin' to lose / Won't ya let me take you on a sea cruise?") and peppered with foghorns and other nautical sound effects. "Sea Cruise" has been covered by numerous artists over the years, including Herman's Hermits, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beach Boys, Don McLean and Yo La Tengo.
