Heavy metallers Dio let their hair down and showcase some serious shredding on hair-raising fairytale “Rock ‘N’ Roll Children,” which envisions the track's titular characters as runaways in a life-threatening scenario. "It was starting to rain on the night / That they cried forever / It was blinding with snow on the night / That they screamed goodbye / They were lost in the dark / And they never returned / Just like somebody slammed the door," screams late lead singer Ronnie James Dio. "Rock 'n' Roll Children," which was the sixth single released by the US band, appeared on their 1985 LP, Sacred Heart and reached Number 26 on the Billboard Top Album Tracks chart, also Reaching Number 26 on the UK Singles Chart in August 1985. There's also a reference to Ronnie James Dio's philanthropic work; the rocker was a supporter of the Children of the Night charity, which is dedicated to rescuing child sex trafficking victims.
