Derrick Dove & the Peacekeepers aka Tifton, Georgia-born singer-guitarist Derrick Dove and his Peacekeepers Don Hill III (bass), Jamie Richardson (drums), and Jonathan “JT” Thomas (keyboards) dropped their debut self-titled album in 2018, which was a number five hit on the blues charts. A string of EPs and singles followed in its footsteps, including 2021's "Rough Boy" and "Man on the Silver Mountain" before their second full-length album Rough Time reared its head in 2023. The band closed out said album with "When Did I Get Old," a misty-eyed blues-rock lament, spiced with a Southern-meets-swamp rock edge that showcases their classic sound. Elsewhere on the album, Derrick Dove & the Peacekeepers entertain, complain, and console in equal measure with vivid missives and stories like "Blindsided," "Daddy Was a Bluesman," "Farm in Tennessee," "Sunday Coming Down," and the title track, which was released as a single.
