"I'm Confessin' (That I Love You)" is a slow-moving dreamscape hooked to a vulnerable declaration: "I'm confessin' that I love you / Tell me do you love me too." The original song is credited to Chris Smith and Sterling Grant, and recorded by Thomas "Fats" Waller & His Babies in 1929 and became a jazz and popular standard immortalised by a number of high-profile artists over the years, including Perry Como in 1945 and Thelonious Monk in 1965.
