In 2020, Irish folk legend Daniel O'Donnell broke a new record by becoming the first recording artist to place at least one album on the UK Albums Chart each year since his 1988 album From the Heart. Additionally, his 37th studio album Daniel also became his highest-charting effort in Great Britain after 2015's The Hank Williams Songbook, peaking at Number 3. Only a year later, Daniel O'Donnell returned with an album titled 60, which commemorated his sixtieth anniversary through a collection of some of his favorite cover versions. Produced by Nigel Wright, the album featured the track "Down at the Lah De Dah," written and popularized by American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, who included it in his 2020 album Life on the Flip Side. An animated tropical-themed video featuring Daniel O'Donnell was also released during this time and accumulated over 40,000 views in just five days on the singer's video-sharing channel.
