Rockabilly rebel Brian Setzer and his group the Stray Cats made a name for themselves with their '50s-loving offerings in the early '80s before moving over to retro swing in the 1990s with the Brian Setzer Band. On their 2000 rocker "Pennsylvania 6-5000" – a 1940s swing jazz and pop standard from Jerry Gray and Carl Sigman that was originally recorded by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra as a Bluebird 78 rpm single – the Brian Setzer Band pour the rock 'n' roll spirit into a boisterous neo-swing tune: "I got my shoes shined up / I got my hair slicked down / 'Cause baby I wanna hit the town / Call me - Pennsylvania 6-5000." The track is featured on the Brian Setzer Band's fourth studio album Vavoom!, which was released on 2000 on Interscope Records and spawned "Americano," which was performed by Matt Damon and Jude Law in The Talented Mr. Ripley.
