"Lady" is a song by country artist Brett Young, included in his 2021 album Weekends Look a Little Different These Days. The piano-driven ballad was released as the first single from Young's third album on April 30, 2020. With earnest lyrics dedicated to his daughter Presley Elizabeth and his wife Taylor Mills, "Lady" was actually written way before Young and Mills found out they were expecting a child. With the help of award-winning songwriters Jon Nite and Ross Copperman, who had previously penned Number 1 hits for Billy Currington, Luke Bryan, and Keith Urban, Young came up with a heartfelt song that hit a sentimental nerve in all parents and parents-to-be. The song quickly went to Number 1 on Billboard's US Country Airplay chart and entered the Top 10 in Canada. Eventually, it was also certified Gold in the US after selling over 500,000 copies. A video directed by Seth Kupersmith featuring Young and his family premiered on June 18, 2020.
