Brotherly cover band Boyce Avenue—aka Alejandro Luis Manzano, Daniel Enrique Manzano, and Fabian Rafael Manzano—formed in Sarasota, Florida in the mid-aughts and released their debut studio album, All You’re Meant to Be, in 2009. Melding a boyband mindset and aesthetic with a crowd-pleasing sing-a-long ethos, the group became ambassadors for the world-dominating business of cover songs, and in 2016 released their 15th EP of cover songs, Cover Sessions, Vol. 2, which featured their sophisticated interpretations of cuts by the likes of Sam Smith, Adele, and Ed Sheeran. Following their acoustic take on her lung-blasting Grammy-winner "I Will Always Love You" in 2021, they turned their attention to another Whitney Houston classic in 2022, stripping her 1987 showstopping smash-hit "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" back to plaintive bare bones piano and soft vocals for a wedding dance favourite.
