Reigniting the sumptuous, luxe retro sounds of late 1960s and early 1970s soul and R&B, Black Pumas – a.k.a. Austin, Texas-based singer-songwriter Eric Burton and guitarist/producer Adrian Quesada – scored a Grammy nomination for their self-titled debut album of 2019, on which "Colors" is featured.
