Bee Gees swapped the eye-watering disco highs of "Stayin' Alive" for a warm bubble-bath of soft rock on "How Deep Is Your Love;" their dreamy 1977 ballad that, like the former track, was also featured on the peerless soundtrack to 1977 dance drama classic Saturday Night Fever. "And you come to me on a summer breeze / Keep me warm in your love / Then you softly leave / And it's me you need to show / Keep me warm in your love / Then you softly leave / And it's me you need to show," coos Barry Gibb. The track was written by the brotherly trio Barry Gibb, the late Robin Gibb and the late Maurice Gibb, and went to Number 3 in the UK, Number 1 in the US, as well as making a deep impact elsewhere in the world. "How Deep Is Your Love" has been covered by multiple artists over the years, including Johnny Mathis, Luther Vandross, PJ Morton and most notably by Take That, who released a cover of the track for their 1996 Greatest Hits album and topped the UK Chart for three weeks.

I love playing guitar lead, as an instrumental,to this great tune from the Bee Gees. Good vocal backings make it the perfect accompaniment to my Fender Strat.
