Badflower confront the pain of suicide and mental illness on their hard-hitting single, "Ghost." "Take the blade away from me / I am a freak, I am afraid that / All the blood escaping me won't end the pain / And I'll be haunting all the lives that cared for me / I died to be the white ghost / Of the man that I was meant to be," roars singer/guitarist Josh Katz, with the song's darkly autobiographical subject-matter almost sounding at odds with the driving, uptempo rock of the chorus. The song deals mainly with suicidal ideation, employing the metaphor of the "white ghost" to consider the hypothetical aftermath of a suicide. "Ghost," which went to Number 11 on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Number 26 on Billboard's Canada Rock chart, was featured on the Californian rock band's debut album, OK, I'm Sick, which came out in February 2019 and went to Number 140 on the US Billboard 200.
