Avenged Sevenfold (abbreviated as A7X) formed in Huntington Beach, California in 1999 and released five studio albums before Hail to the King reared its head in 2013. It also marked their only album to feature drummer Arin Ilejay, who joined in 2011. Hail to the King was later certified platinum by the RIAA for notching up sales of over 1,000,000 copies.
