"Kings & Queens" is a song from Ava Max. The singer, born Amanda Coci, is the daughter of Albanian parents who fled their country after the fall of communism in 1991. She was born in Michigan and began singing at an early age. Although often compared to Lady Gaga, she sites Mariah Carey as her biggest influence. "Kings & Queens" is a song of empowerment and unity. "If all of the kings had their queens on the throne / We would pop champagne and raise a toast / To all of the queens who are fighting alone / Baby, you're not dancin' on your own". Songwriter Desmond Child was included as a writer because the melody is similar to Bonnie Tyler's song "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)".
