Four-time Grammy Award nominee and 2022 Grand Ole Opry inductee Ashley McBryde hit her stride in 2018 and has been powering ahead ever since. For her third major label release and fifth studio album, the Grammy-nominated Lindeville, the Arkansas-raised country star ushered in a concept album about a fictional town named in homage to late Nashville songwriter Dennis Linde (known for hits like The Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl” and Joe Diffie’s “John Deere Green”). "The Girl in the Picture" is one of four tracks on the album created in collaboration with Nashville songwriter Nicolette Hayford aka Pillbox Patti, and sees the pair reunite following their team-up on Ashley McBryde’s hit debut single, “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega". In the downhearted tale "The Girl in the Picture" we meet the made-up town's local beauty, whose best days are sadly behind her: “It’s a shame that all she’ll ever be / Is the girl in the picture / That won the blue ribbon / At the Faulkner County Fair.”
