By the release of their tenth studio album Power Play in July 1982, April Wine had reached their commercial zenith, having secured two victories via LPs The Nature of the Beast (1981) and Harder... Faster (1979) and having planted their flag firmly in Canada's hard rock terrain across multiple decades. They would split up four years later, but not before dropping a few more treasures into the vault. "Enough is Enough" formed the centrepiece of Power Play and the LP's only chart-friendly single (it reached number 50 on the US Billboard Hot 100). Written by the band's Myles Francis Goodwyn, "Enough is Enough" is a blazing blast of hard rock that's perfect for tearing down the highway with the wind blowing through your hair. It sounds just like a time capsule of guitar music in the 1980s.
