On wintery Anastasia lullaby "Once Upon A December", the movie's amnesiac protagonist, Anya (voiced by Kirsten Dunst and Lacey Chabert) is in nostalgic mode as she tried to piece together her buried former life as the Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov. "Far away, long ago / Glowing dim as an ember / Things my heart used to know / Things it yearns to remember", she remembers longingly, sung by singer Liz Callaway in the movie. "Once Upon A December" is brought to Anya via her music box, and this idea was inspired by the film treatment's fake title, The Music Box. The soundtrack to the 1997 Fox Animation Studios film was composed by Broadway songwriting team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty for their feature film debut. The show tune – which was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song – was immortalised in a new stage adaptation of Anastasia, which opened on Broadway in the spring of 2017.

This is a nice, accurate arrangement...but the strings have that fake sound. The version with backing vocals covers that better, if you are able to use it.
