Alexandra Kay began her career in the world of pop and R&B, signing to Nettwork Entertainment in 2013 and scoring a radio hit with her first single “No More”. After shifting her focus to country, she quickly garnered attention for her cover versions of well-known favourites, and a series of support slots followed: Tim McGraw, Tracy Lawrence, Clay Walker, JoDee Messina, Josh Turner, Russell Dickerson, Chase Rice, and more. Her talent ultimately led her to the Grand Ole Opry, where she made her debut in November 2022. Co-written by Alexandra Kay, All I've Ever Known—her personal-leaning debut album—came out the following year and was produced by Andrew Capra, Andrew Baylis, and Jason Massey. "Everleave" is the LP's second track; a raw, vulnerable confessional on which she explores a troubled relationship in a candid style.
