Pick-up lines may have changed somewhat since the days of Albert Collins, but the central message of "Bring Your Fine Self Home" endures. "Well, you touched me with the feelin' / And it was such a perfect blend / And now I want it over and over, over and over again / Come on, baby / Get your fine self back in this town / Don't you stop to think about it / Don't you stop to talk to nobody," howls the bluesman over the kind of smoking hot guitar-playing that earned him his "Master of the Telecaster" crown. "Bring Your Fine Self Home" was featured on Albert Collins' collaborative Showdown! album of 1985, which was a joint effort with Robert Cray and Johnny Copeland and included covers of T-Bone Walker's "T-Bone Shuffle," Muddy Waters' "She's into Something" and Ray Charles' "Blackjack." The album won the trio the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Recording in 1986.
