Bang!” is a song by brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met who make up the indie-pop band AJR. According to the group, they wrote “Bang!” about that weird time between being a kid and becoming an adult. With lyrics that include quinoa, forgotten passwords, and an invitation to go out with a bang, the guys have created a perfect coming of age anthem. The band writes, produces, and mixes their music from their NYC apartment. Their DIY attitude worked out great when they decided to tweet out a link for the video of their song “I’m Ready" to 80 celebrities including Australian singer Sia Furler. The singer was so impressed she hooked the band up with an ex Columbia Records executive who now serves as their manager. “Bang!” is included on the band’s OK Orchestra album. The backing track for “Bang!” is available with background vocals or as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.

Okay, I guess... doesn't sound at ALL like the original singer.
