"Are You Ready" is a song from Australian rockers AC/DC's 1990 twelfth studio album, The Razors Edge. It was written by Angus Young and Malcolm Young, and produced by Bruce Fairbarn. Featuring overtly sexual lyrics, the track opens up with a series of arpeggiated guitar chords and quickly builds up into the slow-burning, earth-shattering hard rock sound the band has cultivated throughout the years. It was released in April 1991 as the third single from The Razors Edge, right after the success of "Thunderstruck" and "Moneytalks." "Are You Ready" peaked at Number 1 in New Zealand, becoming AC/DC's first and only chart-topping hit there, and received Gold certification for sales of over 5,000 units. It also reached Number 16 on Billboard's US Mainstream Rock chart and Number 18 on Australia's ARIA chart. A live version of the song can be found on the 1992 double live album, Live: 2 CD Collector's Edition. Its parent album, in turn, hit Number 2 on the Billboard 200.
