"Happiness" is a song by the English pop-rock band The 1975. It was released as the second single from their fifth studio album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language. Written and produced by lead singer Matthew Healy and drummer George Daniel with additional input by Jack Antonoff, "Happiness" incorporates elements from dance music, disco, and funk, all processed through the band's 80s-pop-inspired sheen. Backed up by jazzy percussion and prominent sax flourishes, the track finds Matthew Healy dealing with his own insecurities as he jumps headfirst into a romantic relationship with someone he deems too good to be true. The intro for the song was provided by dance-pop producer DJ Sabrina the Teenage DJ, who included a down-pitched snippet of one of Healy's old interviews. Shortly after its commercial release on August 3, 2022, "Happiness" peaked at Number 46 on the UK Singles Chart and reached Number 20 on Billboard's Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart in the United States.
